Twenty first century man is grappling with the greatest challenge ever faced by man. Throughout the history of the world never has it been such a fight for survival against the powers that rage to wipe man out of existence. Disease is widespread as much in the developed as in the developing countries; strange and bizarre stories of serial murders and homicidal crimes in the developed countries and ethnic cleansing and civil wars and unrest in the developing countries are the order of the day the world over; global food scarcity has thrown every one into frenzy. Science and technology has helped but has become modern man’s greatest undoing. Daily we are fighting against an ever increasing army of woes and disasters. The picture cannot be bleaker and we are ruining the world more than building it. Many have proffered help and solutions to some or all of these problems. But there still is the seemingly unsolvable situation of mass suffering and worse still the global threat of annihilation through weapons of mass destruction mass produced by the mad men also known as scientists and terrorists. We could go on and on and on. I am not a solution giver, I do not even pretend to be one; all I can say is “all good things must end”.

However, while the world lasts we yet can steal a few moments of blissful happiness, moments of peace of inner satisfaction and carefree abandon in the few pleasures left us by the merciless elements of workplace pressure, the fear of a breakdown in health, and all the monsters associated with surviving in the modern world. We can enjoy the unspoiled countryside away from the city, the unpolluted and exotic natural settings in far away lands where the air is free. We can view breathtaking panorama of the setting sun from beautiful green mountain tops. Sights of flora and fauna that will put back the life in your work-drained and stressed-up body are just waiting if you will take some time out to venture outdoors. Easy Steps to Save Money at the Grocery Store

One of the key words in making this system work is “planning”.  For some people, I realize that is a scary word, but it should not be.  Even the most unorganized person can develop this simple method and put it to use to save money grocery shopping.

Most people “plan” things every day.  Some people’s plans are not as clear as others, but it is still a plan.  However you organize your daily and weekly activities will decide how you will incorporate this plan into your schedule.  For example, when my children were growing up, Sunday evening was the best time for me to plan my upcoming week, take an inventory, and then write my menu.  That’s basically what this is all about.  It is not complicated, and it’s not rocket science.  But it will require that you remain consistent.

The first step to improvising this plan will require “taking an inventory”.  You have to have a starting point and you have to understand and know what you already have on hand.  To begin, you should know you need to have what I call the basics:  simple spices, ketchup, mustard, eggs, milk, ect.  After using this method several weeks, you will establish your family’s basic inventory.  The next step is developing a weekly menu.

Depending on your family’s size and age, this menu will of course be different for everyone.  But the basic “system” remains the same.  Plan your menu, utilization of foods and being consistent.

In this article, I am going to illustrate one of the many menus I used when my children were in pre school and elementary school.  Busy lifestyles need simple solutions!  My basic inventory consisted of:

chicken (my family preferred breasts), but I would suggest whole chickens, ground beef, thin sliced pork chops and cube steak.  Each week I would post the menu on the refrigerator as a reminder and it also kept me focused on my goal.

    For example:
    Monday-spaghetti
    Tuesday-Tacos
    Wednesday-Oven Baked Chicken
    Thursday-Pan Fried Pork Chops
    Friday-pizza
    Saturday-Chicken in Cream Sauce
    Sunday-Country Fried Steak.

In looking at the above menu, you will see we are using the same meats, but not every day.  Included in my weekly menu, I would always show what was being served with the main meal.  Spaghetti, salad, and french bread.

    Tacos and Spanish rice
Oven Baked Chicken, green beans and rice
Pan Fried Pork Chops with corn and peas
    Friday-pizza

Each week  using the same meats, I would change it up so we did not cringe each time spaghetti was listed, and have hamburgers and frys or manwhich- (both of these items use hamburger buns).  The secret is establishing a “base” or inventory which you can easily shop for each week.  This will eliminate the need to rush to the grocery store without a plan and it will reduce your dollars spent on food.  If you sit down and write out a menu each week, shop and buy only the items you need for your menu, and be consistent, you will save dollars.

    Quick-Fix to Property Crunch?

Seemingly desperate measures are being taken by lenders and businesses across the property market and only this week, UK house building giant Barratt unveiled a number of incentives aimed at attracting the already few buyers in the market.

Barrat has pledged to reimburse any losses up to a maximum of 15% of the property value on a home bought between now and Christmas if the buyer sells at a loss in the next three years. But the Bank of England is now warning businesses that there is no quick-fix to the mortgage crisis as households would also continue to be affected by falling incomes and higher prices on a range of basic goods.

The house builder has further announced that it is ready to pay stamp duty on sales of property up to the value of £500,000 estimated at £15,000 and would offer part exchange to buyers who are unable to sell their existing homes.

Although the new offer from Barrat seems attractive for would be homebuyers, the deals are only available until the end of the year and are on selected properties likely to exclude most developments in London and the South-east. Additionally, the part-exchange offer is capped at £250,000 on existing properties while the three-year price guarantee is limited to properties worth up to £300,000.

However, the Bank of England now says it will launch a successor to the emergency funding scheme (known as the Special Liquidity Scheme), which since April has allowed ailing banks to keep lending by swapping risky mortgages for cash from the Treasury.

Market sources say that banks may have tapped the Special Liquidity Scheme for as much as £200bn but even Bank of England Governor Mervyn King believes that any such scheme would not provide a quick solution to the credit crisis.

Last week, the Bank’s Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) refused to cut interest rates from 5% because with inflation resting at a 16-year high rate of 4.4% thanks to an increase in food, energy and oil prices, there was nothing MPC could have done to please businesses. Today, another lender, Crystal Mortgages announced the launch of two new Bridging Loan products in addition to their competitive 1.25% product.

This may be good news to those wishing to get on the property ladder but perhaps an act of desperation on their part especially because Crystal are still lending on a first or second charge basis on Commercial or Residential property. What is even more interesting is the fact that the company is still lending to clients with adverse credit, and also lending is based on a true Self Cert basis.

Crystal says that because many lenders are currently withdrawing from the second charge or adverse sectors the company has spotted an opportunity to expand their lending services. But the list of lenders offering attractive offers continues to grow with Abbey announcing that with effect from 15th September it will cut rates and add new deals to the range at 85% LTV. There will also be no upfront element of the booking fee.

Firstly the software will need to have a good level of security so that you can protect your personal details as well as the money that the software will make you.

The best forex trading software online are the autopilot systems that will work independently to make you money.

They are not affected in any way emotions and will work independently and do more work in a few seconds than the human brain can do in several hours. They are constantly trading within set parameters so that they will not lose you money at any time.

They will only make informed decisions and decisions that will make money. They will ignore trades that have the potential not to make money.

Forex Robots as they are commonly known are now the most popular form of online currency trading because of the immense reliability.

6 Areas of Focus to Make Huge Household Savings

I recently read a fantastic article entitled, “Are You Throwing Money Away? on Unused Expenses and Untapped Discounts” The whole article was about how we should check out or finances at regular intervals to make sure we are getting value from every little penny which is leaving our purse or wallet. Below, I have adapted some of the suggestions made in the article to our UK customs:Unused and Unnecessary Expenses

Memberships - Duncan Bannatyne must be taking a battering since the Credit Crunch began. If he isn’t then he should be! A gym membership is nice when the money is rolling in, but with storms clouds on the horizon it must be the first to go. There is actually nothing at all that can be accomplished in a gym that can’t be accomplished for Free elsewhere. In relation to my own finances, I signed up for Lovefilm about 9 months ago and I now need to ask myself, is it necessary to have Lovefilm and Sky Movies? (I say ask myself - I actually mean She Who Must Be Obeyed)

Banking Fees - I am a great fan of Martin Lewis and I copied his methods of retrieving Bank Charges last year. In the past I was very lax at keeping my balance within the overdraft limit, resulting in about £1000 of charges. If this is you then take action now. It may not be possible to be refunded bank charges soon, so why not just switch your account to one offering a larger overdraft? I switched to an A&L online account, and I’ve been very happy with them so far. After 6 months or so of good conduct they increased my overdraft limit to £2000. Just make sure you don’t act like a kid in a sweetie shop when the overdraft is granted.

Magazine Subscriptions - cancel all magazines! Don’t even try to argue with me on this one. There is nothing in a magazine that can’t be gleaned whilst browsing the newsagents or by doing a bit of research online.

Unused Extras on Your TV Programming - as above, I am going to have to have a serious chat with the Mrs. regarding our current satellite package. I can honestly say that I have enjoyed about three hours of programmes in the last month. Remember the Bruce Springsteen hit “57 channels (and nothing on)”; well I’m recreating that every evening.

Too Much Insurance Coverage - Insurance is my game. Now is not the time to be cutting back on policies (apart from pet insurance - no more pet/ no more insurance in my book) however I would seriously consider increasing the excess on your home and car insurance to save a few pennies whilst the credit crunch rages.

Reward Programs - many people are switching to the budget superstores in order to save money at the moment, but after a spell using Aldi, I am back patronizing my local Tesco. I have done this for two reasons. Firstly because the Tesco value range is as good, and as cheap as the wares on offer at Aldi. Secondly, the Tesco points system gives me an added reason to visit over its budget rivals. Marketing does work.

When you get your next bank statement focus in on: memberships, banking fees, magazines, TV packages, insurance and reward points. Small changes in these areas can make big differences to your bottom line, with very little effect on your lifestyle.

Ways to Avoid the Four Newly Imposed Airline Fees

When boarding an airplane, of popular airlines to be particular, expect that outrageous surcharges will be thrown upon you, especially now that they have imposed four other hefty fees-payments for customers’ first checked bag, for drinkable water and even for free award tickets.

Airlines don’t want you to know this, but there are other ways to avoid the newly imposed airline fees. Surcharges are not inevitable. These are some tips to avoid being duped:

*Bottled water - Yes, airlines will begin charging for bottled water. The trick is to bring an empty water bottle through the Transportation Security Administration screening area and fill it at the closest water fountain in the terminal. Liquids aren’t allowed through a checkpoint, but there’s no rule against empty containers. There have been reports of vigilant screeners confiscating bottles, but still, it’s worth giving a try.

*Checked Luggage - Gone are the good ol’ days when two or three bags aren’t charged, but now, it’s history. Airlines insist they need extra money to cover their fuel costs, but this probably has almost nothing to do with higher energy prices. Travel experts recommend you send your luggage to your destination using either an overnight service or through one of the pricey luggage shipping companies. Now think, why ship your luggage when you can still carry it on the plane for free? If you have to carry a second bag, either fly on an airline with a free first-bag allowance, Continental and Delta Airlines have this, or send the bag by second-day mail. A $15 charge for a bag might be a bargain compared with what the postal services charges. Just do the math.

*Airlines also have increased their award ticket fees, adding co-payments for certain awards and raised the number of miles required for free tickets. Solution? Cash in your frequent flier miles before the deadline or use your awards for something else. Award miles don’t appreciate over time and lose its value. So, hoarding your points is not helpful. If you’re really a frequent traveler, then this might be a good time to focus your loyalty on a single program. The top-tier elite customers are exempt from many of these new charges.

*Unaccompanied minors - Fees for unaccompanied minors have also increased. Again, many airlines blamed the rise in these fees on higher fuel costs. It’s absurd how a featherweight unaccompanied minor have something to do with rising fuel costs. So, if you’re sending two kids to visit relatives, you might as well come along. You’ll pay the airline the equivalent in unaccompanied minor fees if you decide to stay home. And, you’ll be able to keep your eyes on your junior.

But, of course, the best way is to fly on an airline that doesn’t have the said fees, like Southwest Airlines, allows for two free checked bags on their famous Boeing 737. JetBlue still serves free drinks and snacks and charges $25 less than the big airlines for unaccompanied minors.
